Quilt Market Weekend!

Hey everyone! This weekend at market was absolutely incredible and we're so excited now for our inspiration to transform into amazing new projects to share with all of you in the coming months! We'll share more over the next few days but here's some of the jaw-dropping things we saw at Quilt Market! {above photo: taken in the FreeSpirit Booth}

Some of the adorable new samples made in Moda's newest and upcoming collections! We'll be getting both of these lines so be sure to check our Coming Soon section in the next few weeks for their accepted arrival dates!

We were really excited by Colette Patterns! Her asthetic is so classically feminine, charming in a very Audrey Hepburn sort of way! We can't wait to go through her new book!

We all couldn't wait to see the Parson Gray Booth! The man behind the fabric is none other than Amy Butler's husband, David Butler! We had a lot of fun talking with David in his booth! He even got the girls to pose in his booth so he could show his bandmates that they didn't have to feel sorry for him hanging out at Quilt Market all weekend!

We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Curious Nature in the shop! It was fun seeing a man's ideas on accessorizing with fabric! Like how he used his fabrics to make the High Street Messenger bag and got the hardware, strap and finishings from an army pack you can get for $5 at an Army Navy supply store!

The Michael Miller Booths were so much fun! They're picnic theme was so sweet, they even served fruit infused water for all of the picnic-ers! We had a great time picking out some of their new lines with our rep, Bob who we all love so much! He kept us laughing the whole time!

So much fun and so inspiring, ideas have been running through our brains ever since! You've got to love getting such an overwhelming surge of eye candy! Tuesday we're heading back down to Houston to set up for Festival with Marci Baker and we hope you all can come out and see us at Booth 2036-2039! And we'll be uploading more photos here and to Facebook so stay tuned!

Lark is Here!!!

Amy Butler's newest collection Lark is now in the shop and online!!! We've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this beautiful collection for us to ooh and ahhh over in person and Friday, all of our wishes came true! These prints are even more gorgeous in person, we were all truly wowed opening up the boxes and examining all the rich colors and unique patterns! It's definitely not typical Amy, but we love her new direction just the same!

 Here's Amy's take on Lark: "The spirit of this collection is inspired by one of my favorite style icons, Maxime de la Falaise. Maxime was chic and eccentric, coming from a bohemian family of artists whose unapologetic passion for art and creativity surely shaped her vision for her life. Lark is filled with my fanciful imaginings of what would have been the makings of her artistic world through her love of fashion, print, travel and exotic friendships. Her playful vision combined all of her favorite collections creating an atmosphere of warmth and spontaneity with just the right amount of modern glamour. Lark's print combinations have a rich, souvenir feel, lovingly gathered from a life of vivid experience. Glowing colors and velvety combinations of stylized florals are the foundation for perennially chic sewing projects. It's been a total joy creating this collection and I hope Lark inspires you to bring out your inner design maven!"

This collection will be stunning for all of your creations whether you make a bohemian maxi dress, a cute handbag or some great statement throw pillows for your couch! Be sure to search through all of Amy's sewing patterns for even more awesome project ideas!

Serendipity Studio - Madeline Maxi Dress   Serendipity Studio - Fashion Formula Skirts Vol 2 Mini Book   Serendipity Studio - Savannah Swing Jacket

We just got 3 new patterns from Kay Whitt of Serendipity Studio and I've got to say, they're making us all have fashion on the brain! I'm in love with her new dress pattern, the Madeline Maxi Dress! A fresh take on the bohemian trend, this dress is that go-to outfit for looking hip at a moment's notice! Go crazy with print mixing or keep it calm and cool in one fabric or solids! Next, is her Fashion Formula Skirts Vol 2 Mini Book! Unless you have your head under a pattern rock, you'll know that we had the hardest time keeping the original Fashion Formula Skirts booklet in stock and this one is sure to be the same story! With so many different designs and variations, there's no limit to what you can create! And lastly, is the Savannah Swing Jacket, a feminine and flirty coat that you can dress up or down with ease! Such a versatile piece, it would look adorable with skinnies and flats or even a sweet dress and wedges!

Join Me for Tea

While we were at the Trinity Valley Quilters' Guild Quilt Show, Sally Brown stopped by our booth to drop off her GORGEOUS quilt that we were all just gushing over! It's called Join Me for Tea and we are totally in love!

Those vintage aprons are just too sweet for words! All the tiny details really make them pop!

I especially love all the little tea themed embroidery blocks! There's everything from tea cups, pots, jars of perserves and lots of sweet phrases!

Sally brought us 15 patterns and we left the show with only 4 so it just goes to show how enchanting this quilt really is, especially in person! So stop by the shop if you'd like to see it up close and personal and click here to order this adorable pattern!
