Kimberly Einmo Workshop & GIVEAWAY WINNER!!

 

 

As you all know Kimberly Einmo was just here at the Cabbage Rose teaching her most popular workshop, Lone Starburst and my goodness did everyone have an AMAZING time! Kimberly couldn't have been sweeter or more knowledgeable and everyone learned SO much!

 

 

 

 

 

 

We totally sold out this fun event and had a shop FULL of ladies with sewing, cutting and pressing stations all over the store that Sunday!! Fabric, thread and hands were flying as everyone was working on their fabulous starburst quilt tops!

 

 

Kimberly showed some absolutely gorgeous variations of this design, I am especially loving the bottom quilt she made with Tradewinds (which is on sale right now)!! I love the play with negative space in the center accented with a bold border!

 

 

 

I don't think we've ever had so many sewing machines in the classroom at one time!! It was wonderful being able to have so many of you participate in this special workshop!

 

 

 

 Kimberly was sweet enough to do a book signing for everyone at the shop that day and as a special treat, she went ahead and signed every last copy of her books that we had in the store!! Now you can get a signed copy of Kimberly's newest book PreCut Bonanza, Jelly Roll Quilt Magic or Jelly Roll Quilts & More!! She is truly an authority on creating amazing quilts with Jelly Rolls and other Pre-Cuts so you definitely want to pick up one or more of her books. She also brought her amazing Rulers that work with her books and she walked everyone at the workshop through how to use them properly! You'll definitely want to pick up at least her Simpli-EZ Jelly Roll Ruler but they are all wonderful tools that you'll be thanking you're lucky stars are in your sewing tool box next time you're wanting to do flying geese or hearts!!

A Fun Deal for the 4th!!

I just LOVE the 4th of July! Conjuring up classic Americana-style nostalgia, this holiday always makes me so thankful for all the freedoms we've come to enjoy living in this country and it also becomes very real in my mind that those freedoms come at a price. I know that essentially everyone is connected to one or more loved ones who have served our country for the cause of freedom. Whether your parent or grandparent fought in a war, a brother, sister or yourself went into the service, or your child decided to dedicate their life to their country, we have a whole lot to be thankful for this Wednesday! Many men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can be free and we want to honor them all over the next few days with our thoughts of gratitude and appreciation!
