Support Brick & Mortart Quilt Shops with Visit Your Local Quilt Shop Day!!

I know that anyone and everyone who is lucky enough to have live near an independently owned, brick and mortar quilt shop can't imagine life without one! There's just something to be said for the delightful sensory experience that is going into a store that sells bolts and bolts of designer fabrics! The feel, the sight and even the smell of these gorgeous prints is enough to brighten just about the worst of days! And bring even more joy and excitement to all occasions in your life!

Cabbage Rose is more than just a store where sewers and quilters can come in and get new fabric, supplies and projects, take classes and get tips...it's a retreat for people needing something...whether its a little bit of pretty in their life or just a warm and smiling face to greet them! We have been a second home to countless women and even some awesome guys and we couldn't imagine not being apart of each other's lives! These are experiences, feelings you just can't get shopping for fabric online! No matter how much more convenient that might be...or how many dimes you save per yard.

We are so thrilled to celebrate the 2nd Annual Visit Your Local Quilt Shop Day on Saturday, January 25th with fun demos throughout the day & drawings for Cabbage Rose Gift Certificates in the shop!

If you are in the area or near by, plan a trip to the Cabbage Rose that Saturday and show your support for all things local! Help keep Local Alive and support Visit Your Local Quilt Shop Day at the Cabbage Rose!!

Lots of Demo's & Drawings for a $50 & $100 Gift Certificate!

Support Brick & Mortar Shops, Visit Your Local Quilt Shop TODAY!!

Even though online shopping is amazingly convenient  we know how much you all LOVE being able to go into a physical quilt shop for ideas, inspiration, and information!! Not to mention to be able to see all the NEW Fabric's prints and color in person! The shades are never exactly right on our computer screens are they?? You really just can't beat actually being able to go into a brick and mortar shop in order to match or coordinate color palettes, compare print scales, or find that unexpected fabric that works just perfectly!

The tactile and sensory experience of being inside a fun little fabric haven is another element of the physical store that we couldn't imagine our lives without!! Seriously every time I walk into our store, even though I've walked through those doors hundreds of times, it's still so refreshing and inspirational! The color, the creations...you won't leave our shop without AT LEAST a dozen new project ideas! Browsing through our Patterns, there's about a 30 that I have on my wishlist and cannot wait to try! But sometimes getting all the supplies still isn't enough to get us motivated is it?

And that's where our Classes come in...a place where sewers can come and spread out with their machines and their projects and create with others is such a blessing and all of our students come away with new skills plus an invigoration for creating which is something all of us at the Cabbage Rose are very passionate about! Sometimes we just need someone else to say "YOU CAN DO THIS!" or to simply do it with us to get ourselves creating! And when you come to a Class at the Cabbage Rose, you get the support and direction you need to tackle that project that you've been wanting to try! The ability to create is so rewarding for everyone and we love seeing people's creative voice develop as well as being able to encourage others in their journey! Our teachers are especially gifted at this! With classes for kids who have never sewn before, aspiring quilters and handmade fashionistas, there's something for everyone!

We are so excited there's now an official day to celebrate just how fabulous it is to have a resource like a local quilt shop around and we hope all of you in the DFW area can make it to the Cabbage Rose today to celebrate with us! The Girls will be doing some fun DEMOS all day starting at 12pm so grab an early lunch with some friends and then come spend the day with us!! PLUS, our 15th Anniversary SALE is still going on so ALMOST EVERYTHING in the store is 15% OFF!!! Come see what's new in the shop, learn a cool technique or scoop up some new goodies for less TODAY for VISIT YOUR LOCAL QUILT SHOP DAY!!!
