Thanksgiving Hours & NEW Buttons, Trims and More from Riley Blake!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all staying as relaxed as possible doing all the prep for your Thanksgiving feasts this Thursday! We're all getting so excited for the Holiday season to get into full swing and come Friday, the countdown is truly on! So come on out to see us and get the rest of your Christmas shopping finished!! Or at least come pick up some Cabbage Rose Gift Certificates for all your sewing and quilting buddies, or to scoop up a bunch of Pillowcase Kits for stuffing stockings!

And speaking of Stocking Stuffers, we have just added all of our NEW Trims & Embellishments to the website! All of the Sew Together accessories from Riley Blake are custom colored to match all of the other items, so if you buy a Hot Pink Button card and some Hot Pink Crochet Trim, you're gauranteed to get the exact same color! That's stress relief at its finest, yall. So many cute new Buttons, Ric Rac, new sizes and colors of Pom Pom fringe, and Zippers in every color of the rainbow! All of which are essential items for any sewer's arsenal, so round up some of your favorite items in one color or a few of your favorites and make your own embellishment gift pack for any of the sewers on your shopping list!

The 1/2" Red Pom Poms are the perfect Christmas trim in my humble oppinion! Or you could use some Red Ric Rac to add a little punch to your Christmas Tree Napkins! Just pin the ric rac in between your two semi-circles when you are laying them right sides together so that half of the ric rac sticks out the top and sew as you normally would! If that curve seems intimidating (trust me, you can do it!) just can just put the ric rac on the straight side of your semi-circles! Easy Peasy! So check out our Notions & Trims section to shop online or come into the this Friday store to see our awesome Sew Together display! You'll be inspired for sure! And all of you procrastinators out there (represent!), come into the store and get those last minute handmade gift ideas!!

Our Booth!

Hey ladies! Today is the first day back from Festival and we are absolutely thrilled to be back in the Fort Worth shop! We thought you'd like to see just how GORGEOUS our booth was in Houston this past week, considering we didn't get any time outside of said booth, I got some extra pretty pictures of it to share with you!

How lovely are all those samples??? Everyone was oohing and awing over all the pretties in our booth and can you blame them??

Loved our Bright Section! All those beautiful colors were attracting the shoppers like nobody's business! You could barely walk through all four of our booths most of the time! Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and to all of the new customers-for-life that we met this week! We love you all!

More Houston Fun!

Here's even more inspirational goodness from Market! We just had to share some of these gorgeous booths with all of you along with some of the inspiring ideas we've gotten off the top of our heads!

Debbie Maddy's Booth

Amy Butler's Booth
Amy's newest collection Lark is absolutely stunning in real life and it looks about as amazing as can be made up in her amazing samples! So many inspiring colors and textures, we think this new collection is perfect for making clothing, epecially skirts! Try  one of these great patterns!
1, 2, 3, 4
FYI! We just added some awesome new Soul Blossoms - Fashion Fabrics to the website! We now have corduroy, voile and rayon and we'll hopefully be getting more over the next few months!!

The Little Daisy's Big Lap Pillow is just too sweet! We're so glad that Amy brought this pattern back and we were even more thrilled to see her new and improved version! Sew cute!

Jenean Morrison's booth
Framing some large pieces of floral fabric is a really creative and inexspensive way to add some pop to a space! Grab some big frames from Ikea and some of your favorite florals and go to town!
Kaffe Fassett's Booth

We got our dose of technicolor from Kaffe Fassett's gorgeous booth! His stripes and prints are absolutely fabulous and perfect for so many different applications! His cottons are so luscious and soft, that they're perfect for making skirts, pajama bottoms or whatever you can think of!

Chevrons are all the rage and we saw them everywhere during Market! Here's a simple chevron quilt in one of Moda's little nooks and I have to say look-work tradeoff is definitely at an unfair advantage! How does simple look so...cool???

Cloud 9 Fabrics

Fabric Floor Poufs are just too fun! These would make a great gameroom accessory! Little boys will love playing video games sprawled out on these cute poufs! Try Amy Butler's Honey Bun Pouf pattern to make your own!

What a cute little idea from Cloud 9 Fabrics! Turn any unused table into a sweet little play house with an awesome little slipcover complete with windows, curtains and a door! So many ideas could be cooked up inside this little getaway!

Betz White's booth
I love the idea of hanging tons of emrboidery hoops with contrasting fabrics all over a wall for a bright and totally inexspensive wall display that is high impact!

Pat Bravo's booth
Sweet ideas for decorating a teen girl's room! You don't need tons of pattern for a great look, just pick a statement piece and some solids or tonal prints to compliment! And as always, mix with neutrals like white for some extra pop!

Some great Pirate themed ideas! I just love the ship bed and those darling Pirate duds!

Loving this little tipi! What a great idea for a kid's bedroom or play area! Just imagine doing crafts and reading stories with your little ones in such a cute space! And you can go absolutely wild decorating your wee tipi with fabric scraps, bunting, strips, patches or whatever!

Sandi Henderson's Booth

How cute are these pillows?? She even had homemade kites and umbrellas made out of her fabric! How cool!

There were sooo many cute ideas and just not enough time, so you guys need to help make some of these great projects a reality! Either recreate one of these projects or get inspired and do your own thing! Just send us a picture! ;)

Quilt Market Weekend!

Hey everyone! This weekend at market was absolutely incredible and we're so excited now for our inspiration to transform into amazing new projects to share with all of you in the coming months! We'll share more over the next few days but here's some of the jaw-dropping things we saw at Quilt Market! {above photo: taken in the FreeSpirit Booth}

Some of the adorable new samples made in Moda's newest and upcoming collections! We'll be getting both of these lines so be sure to check our Coming Soon section in the next few weeks for their accepted arrival dates!

We were really excited by Colette Patterns! Her asthetic is so classically feminine, charming in a very Audrey Hepburn sort of way! We can't wait to go through her new book!

We all couldn't wait to see the Parson Gray Booth! The man behind the fabric is none other than Amy Butler's husband, David Butler! We had a lot of fun talking with David in his booth! He even got the girls to pose in his booth so he could show his bandmates that they didn't have to feel sorry for him hanging out at Quilt Market all weekend!

We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Curious Nature in the shop! It was fun seeing a man's ideas on accessorizing with fabric! Like how he used his fabrics to make the High Street Messenger bag and got the hardware, strap and finishings from an army pack you can get for $5 at an Army Navy supply store!

The Michael Miller Booths were so much fun! They're picnic theme was so sweet, they even served fruit infused water for all of the picnic-ers! We had a great time picking out some of their new lines with our rep, Bob who we all love so much! He kept us laughing the whole time!

So much fun and so inspiring, ideas have been running through our brains ever since! You've got to love getting such an overwhelming surge of eye candy! Tuesday we're heading back down to Houston to set up for Festival with Marci Baker and we hope you all can come out and see us at Booth 2036-2039! And we'll be uploading more photos here and to Facebook so stay tuned!
