We are Gum Drop Pillow CRAZY!!!

Okay so, we are all a little blown AWAY by this young lady right here! Katie is a kindergarten teacher who had never sewed a day in her life before last night when she decided to take Caroline's Gum Drop Pillow Class...she picked out her fabric (a rad print by Parson Gray, from the line Curious Nature), started cutting out her pieces and nervously began sewing as Caroline guided the class step by step. And this is what Katie ended up with...a super FAB floor pillow to enjoy in her home (and we think hubby will like it too!)

Are YOU anything like Katie?? Wanting to create amazing things for yourself or your home but just too intimidated by the machine or reading patterns?? Then you need to come to one of Caroline's amazing classes this Spring!

AND we just got in some INCREDIBLE decorator linens from Amy Butler's Alchemy Collection!! There are SO beautiful and easy to work with! The textures, colors and prints are all to die for! Would love to see some drapes out of these gorgeous fabrics!!

So are you inspired yet?? This year, we're all about serious creative business and if you've been wanting and wanting to do more sewing, making, whatever...we say, stop wanting AND START DOING!! Sign up for one of our incredible Classes (we have about a million right now so there's something for everyone) and push yourself in 2013! We bet you surprise yourself and us!!

Happy Creating!!

Alchemy Quilting Cottons by Amy Butler & Last Minute Holiday Projects!

Alchemy Quilting Cottons by Amy Butler are NOW in the shop and we couldn't be more excited!! Amy's first release of Alchemy was some FABULOUS Organic Cottons but this grouping is more for that running around town for errands skirt, those every day home decor projects and rough and tumble quilts that you're not afraid to let the kids use! And they are JUST as gorgeous!!

Loving the simple quilts in just a few choice prints. It makes it easier for planning out a project plus its a little easier on the eyes to use just a few bold prints in quilt!

And who doesn't love breathing new life into a room with the addition of a few sweet and simple pillows in awesome coordinating fabrics! Add a throw and a Honey Bun Pouf or Gum Drop Pillow and you've got a living room re-do waiting to happen!! And at only $10.50 a yard, you can even spring to make some to-die for curtains!!

Here's what Amy has to say about her latest beauties!!

"Alchemy Organic consists of a sweet collective of my favorite botanical inspired prints translated in brilliant hues that are irresistible on my beautiful 100% organic fashion and quilting cotton. This luxurious material makes the most delicious quilts and just keeps getting softer and softer with every wash. The incredible feel of the fabric & uplifting prints will have you dreaming up special projects for the ones you love!"

She picked some of the most breathtaking prints to release in Organic Cotton, the feel of this fabric is truly wonderful. If you want to take your creations to the next level, this collection will totally bring an element of lushness to anything you make!!

They would be absolutely fabulous as little nighties or sweet pajama sets! These super soft and luxurious prints are perfect for lounging around in bed or on the sofa! Wrap up in a yummy quilt made with coordinating prints and turn your home into an oasis of comfort!

Plenty of standout prints suitable for creating bohemian handbags or flowy skirts that will satisfy the freest of spirits' fashion craving! Pretty NEW Prints from Blend Fabrics!!

We've just been bombarded with gorgeous new fabrics in the shop for the past few weeks so pardon all the fabulous inspiration pictures we'll be posting as a result!! We've especially taken notice to the gorgeous and unique fabrics coming our way from Blend Fabrics!!

I am so enchanted by this organic, watercolor inspired collection Alchemy by the wonderful artist, Shell Rummel. Her love of the transparent color quality of her paintings spills over into pattern making and we just love the unique result! They are a bit more abstract than the usual print, but that's the element that makes this collection standout as so special!

The cool and calming tones and prints are perfect for creating a bedroom retreat or a soothing nursery with a subtle and modern feel. These muted colors are fabulous for letting your heirloom wood furniture be a focus, which still bringing in a beautiful hint of interest.

Try this lovely and simple hexagonal FREE QUILT PATTERN, Arcadian to really show of these wonderful prints!

And how pretty is Bella by Amanda Murphy??? These prints are bright, bold and lots of feminine fun!! Both the Buttercream and Seagrass colorways are fabulous! Wonderful for scumptous quilts, pillows and more!!

And isn't the Bella in Bloom FREE QUILT PATTERN just darling? How could you not wake up in a cheery mood with this little beauty draped over you?! If you need to bring a little extra sunshine in during this year's dreary winter months, this is collection for you!

We just love when new sources of beautiful fabric come out and we can't wait to see even more of the beautiful things the Blend designers will be doing in the future!!
