Don't Look Now Trunk Show!

We are SEW very excited to have the Don't Look Now Trunk Show in the Cabbage Rose Classroom right now! It's so bright, cheery and overall inspirational that I can't help but smile each time I walk past it! We got to meet Kellie Wulfsohn, the amazing designer behind these incredible quilts at Fall Market last year and she was just full of cool and fun ideas for making applique totally fun and totally modern!

The Animal Alphabet pattern is absolutely one of my faves!! All of those animals are just too cute for words and its such a fun way to teach kiddos their letters!! If creating the whole quilt seems too daunting, there are endless ways to use these applique designs!! Use the letters to applique your child's name on something, choose a few letters and make some A,B,C wall art, take any of the animals and applique onto a onesies for baby gifts until the end of time!! Any time a new little one enters your life, pick the animal that starts with the same letter as their name for a personalized gift that's as cute as it is sweet!

How cute is this little tshirt with just an alligator applique'd on?? Too cute if you ask me!!

Making pillows is another fun way to break up those designs or just to create more accesories for an awesome bedroom look!! You could really take one quilt pattern and use it to make matching accessories for an entire room if you're feeling super productive or if you're just addicted to applique! Like with the monsters or robot quilts, you could use a few designs for throw pillows, a few more stitched to the bottom of some plain store bought curtains (or be extra cool and make your own!), you could even use some spray adhesive and put a design on the outside of a lamp shade!! However you break them up and mix them, the result will be cuter than you can even imagine!!

So come on into the shop and get inspired by these amazing quilts and accessories! You'll be totally taken with all the ideas that these designs will give you!! And don't forget to shop her NEW fabric collection with Riley Blake, Peak Hour!!! Such a fun collection of fabrics, perfect for any little boy projects!!

And for those of you who can't pop by the shop, here are a few more pictures that we took of Kellie's adorable booth at Market last Fall! Enjoy!!!
