Stroll Through Central Park!

Kate Spain is definitely a favorite around here! Her funky yet sophisticated prints strike the perfect balance of fun and chic! You could use her fabrics for kid's clothing just as easily as a tote bag for yourself.

Her newest line, "Central Park" was inspired by it's namesake in New York City! I'm absolutely OBSESSED with this line! Fun and festive, it's full of bright and bold colors in some fabulous prints! On her blog, Kate gives an Inspiration Tour of the park so you can see how elements in the park like this...

..became this!

I loved seeing where the patterns in her line came from in the real world! Its so inspiring to see someone turn one form of art into another! Be sure to browse throught this beautiful line and pick some up for your stash before it's all gone. I have a feeling this one is going to fly off our shelves!

And what's more, it's on SALE!!! 10% OFF through the last day of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo!

Hey there ladies! We just got in the most recent collection from Sweetwater, "Sunkissed". I have to say, you need to prepare yourself for the pretty that is about to happen, otherwise your eyes might go into temporary shock!

How great are those picnic ginghams? I love that gingham is making a bit of come back! It's popping up in lots of new lines and this girl couldn't be more thrilled! Such a versatile print!

Pretty pinstripes!

Loving those text prints that Sweetwater has become so famously known for! Typography + fabric = major swoon!

Charlevoix!

Hey there everyone and Happy Tuesday! We've recently gotten in a bunch of new lines for the upcoming season and the latest is "Charlevoix" by Minnick & Simpson! Here's Laurie Simpson and Polly Minick showcasing their fabulous booth at Market!

I love seeing how designers use their own fabrics! It gives you such a fresh perspective. You can really feel the Americana vibe after seeing their booth adorabley currated with old fashion beach chairs, sail boats and American flags!  This line would make a darling quilt or decor for your beach house! Wait, did you say your beach house is imaginary? What a coincidence, mine too! In that case you could decorate a guest room in these dreamy prints, and bring a little of the imaginary to life! You at least have to make a sweet little beach tote! Click here to see the whole beautiful line!

A Charm Pack Recipe!

So I was browsing the interwebs the other day when I found this ADORABLE recipe on the Moda Bake Shop Blog! The "Charming Book Cover" was designed by Aubrey Schwartz of the blog Mauby's. She gives excellent instructions AND it only calls for a charm pack and a backing fabric! In fact, the book Aubrey covered only used 18 charms, which means you could make 2 out of only 1 charm pack! This is a great project to stow away for the Fall when the kids go back to school! Who wouldn't love to actually cover their books in something other than brown paper?

You can get the full instructions here!

NEW *Mystery* Block of the Month!

Good Afternoon! Hope you're all enjoying your Wednesday! Well, it's official...Texas weather is certifiable. One minute we're getting clear skies and 65 degrees, the next it's snowing. Gotta love it! Although, I'm sure some of you up North would kill for a break from those winter temperatures so I count myself quite lucky to be a Texan. Unable to prepare outfits in advance, but lucky none the less. ;)

In shop news, we've got a brand NEW Mystery Block of the Month going on and I'm here to give you the 411 on these awesome projects!

This is a Cabbage Rose Exclusive Mystery BOM but here's a little sample of the blocks! We're doing it in Solids (top picture) and Black and White (bottom). And just so you know, the Solids colorway is NOT just blue and black, it will be a RAINBOW of colors so if bold and colorful is your thing, this is definitely the colorway for you! These programs each last for 12 months and include 12 15” blocks, sashing, 1 pieced border, 1 large border and binding! One block will be sent to you each month with months 11 & 12 including the borders. If you have been searching for a new project to start the year off with, one of  these is what you're looking for! All of the Cabbage Rose girls are SO excited about both of these! Definitely something new and fresh for the New Year!

We have even more info AND a new payment option for these BOM's so check out our Block of the Month section on the website! Have a great sewing day!

Can't Wait for Wildflowers!

Howdy everyone! Today I've got a fun line to share with all of you!

This is "Wildflowers IV" by Sentimental Studios! I have to admit, even though I love the Wintertime as a break from the Texas heat, I did start wishing for Spring and Summer as soon as I got a glimpse of these lovely prints! All of the florals are SO realistic looking! If you have allergies, here's your chance to fill your home with fresh flowers without the stuffy nose! You could make punchy throw pillows or a sweet table cloth for Spring! I think these fabrics would make a GORGEOUS Summer quilt...take it to the park for picnics, lay it on the hood of your car and watch the clouds, or spread it on the ground by the lake in the sun!

Widlflowers IV Charm Pack      Widlflowers IV Fat Quarter Bundle

Wow, I'm officially craving warmer months....great timing considering the arctic front Fort Worth is about to get! Oh well, I'll just stand by these fabrics and picture myself in a beautiful field blanketed in wildflowers! I think that will hold me over! ;)

New Year, New Fabric!

Happy First Monday of the Year everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous New Years weekend! Today we are featuring the brand new, second fabric line from Lauren and Jessi Jung for Moda! They are the design team behind the fabric line "Botany" (which is on sale through tomorrow!) and they've done it again with this adorable and quirky line!

"Hideaway" is loosely inspired by the Swiss Alps and is full of Swiss elements like quaint villages, clusters of deer, window boxes, mountain flowers, gingham, and cuckoo clocks! The illustration style is both intricate and festively elegant as well as folk-inspired! This line is perfect for the kiddos or the "kids at heart". I would absolutely LOVE to see these prints in a kitschy kitchen! You could make sweet little cafe curtains, table cloths, placemats and cloth napkins! There's so many adorable prints to choose from in 4 adorable colorways so the possibilities are endless!

Loving the shades of green they chose for this line! And I'm in LOVE with that mountain village print!

The cuckoo clocks and clock face prints are just too sweet! Intricate and funky all at once!

Each colorway has gingham fabrics in 2 different shades! Perfect for making dainty little aprons!

The folk inspired prints in the poppy colorway are just too cute for words! I think this colorway could even stand on its own if you wanted to do something a bit toned down in this line!

Be sure to browse through our Patterns for even MORE project inspiration and get ahold of some "Hideaway" before its all gone!
