A Full House for Marie Bostwick!

We all had SUCH an amazing time with Marie Bostwick at her Between Heaven and Texas Book Release Party & Signing this past week at the Cabbage Rose and just had to share some of the amazing details of our special celebration for all of you who couldn't make it!!

We listened to Marie share her lovely and heart warming stories over a few true Texas favorites, Dr. Pepper straight out of glass bottles with fancy paper straws and Moon Pies! And all of our decor was really simple with some truly eye-catching fabrics on the tables to really make everything pop! If you have a party to plan this Summer, whether it be a wedding reception, a baby shower or a fun Birthday party, come into the Cabbage Rose and talk to the girls about your ideas and they'll help you come up with some fun decor ideas utilizing your favorite fabrics!

We have all of Marie's Cobbled Court Series books, and the ones we didn't sell that night she went ahead and signed for us so if you would like to purchase one of her amazing books or the whole series, they are all signed by Marie Bostwick herself!

We had so much fun with everyone who came out!! Thank you so much Marie! We just love your books and your stories and the creative spirit that you possess! Welcome to 2013 everybody!! We are SEW excited about all that the amazing Classes, Events and Trips we already have planned for this year and we hope you guys are prepared for a whirlwind of fun at Cabbage Rose this year!! This is our 15th year of business and you better believe we're celebrating with more awesome interactive days at the shop!!

 

 

Our first new Event for the New Year is a Sit & Sew on January 18th & 19th! It's a Friday and Saturday where we are opening up our the Cabbage Rose Classroom to all of our amazing customers for a fun few days of friends, fellowship and sewing from 10am-5pm each day!

Open to anyone with their own sewing machine, and you can come for one of the days or both!! If you just want to join the fun for one day, the cost is $10 per person and if you want to come sew for both days it's ONLY $15 per person! A great opportunity to get some big sewing projects done without the mountains of laundry or dishes staring at you!!

 

 

If you're an out of towner, why not grab a friend and make it into a sewing retreat?? There are plenty of fabulous and reasonable hotels in the area and TONS of great restaurants near the shop since we are SO close to downtown Fort Worth! You can come sew, grab a great lunch, come back and finish up for the day than go enjoy a wonderful dinner!

 

 

We will provide water and tea to keep you hydrated all day long and if you REALLY want to make it a budget friendly day or two, bring your own lunch from home! We have a full size fridge, oven and microwave that you are more than welcome to use!! Sew, what are you waiting for?? If you've created a fun piece of clothing or an awesome accessory made with our fabric or patterns, then we want to see them shown off on the handmade runway! You can round up the kiddos or a brave friend to do the modeling if you're too shy! Participants will receive a $10 Cabbage Rose Gift Certificate (limit one per family)

The fashion show starts at 11:45 so plan to be there a little early to get ready!
