Last week we held our annual Kid's Quilt Camp! The girls had tons of fun making their first quilts and I thought I'd share some of the action! We only had two little ladies this year but it was just as much fun as ever!
Here's Anna #1, age 10.
And Anna #2, age 9. We thought it was awesome to have two Anna's!
Working hard and having fun!
Threading the needle can be tough, even for the little ones!
Anna #1's work in progress...coming along beautifully!
Anna #2's work in progress! Such pretty colors!
Some of their finished blocks! Simply gorgeous!
As a bonus project, the girls each made coordinating pillow cases to go with their new quilts!
Anna #1's finished quilt top and pillowcase!
Anna #2's finished quilt top and pillowcase!
How fabulous are these quilts??? What's fantastic is that each of the Anna's picked out all of the fabrics for their quilts and arranged the fabrics themselves! That's one of the great things about Quilt Camp, they're taught every aspect of making quilts from fabric selection to construction! I want to offer a great big thank you up to our very own Shirley Burt! She taught and helped out the girls the whole week and they had a blast with her. So, THANK YOU MISS SHIRLEY!!!
If you would like for your kiddo to participate next year, we'd love to have them! We hold it every year in July so at the beginning of next summer be sure to stop by and sign up! They're guaranteed to have a great time along with learning an awesome skill they can use for years to come!

That is awesome! Their quilts are beautiful - plus pillowcases! Those are some smart girls.
Looks like great fun! Congratulations to the girls on their quilts and pillowcases!
Wow!! They did a wonderful job!! Congrats to them :-)
Anna #2 wants to say "Thank You for saying that y'all like my quilt, I'm very happy that you like it. I hope some day you all can make a beautiful quilt too."
-She might be just a little bit full of herself, I warned the teachers that she's precocious. :)
Thanks so much to the Cabbage Rose ladies and gentlemen! Anna had a wonderful time and cant' wait to do it again next year!
What gorgeous quilts! The girls must be so proud. They did a great job choosing colors and finishing them. And the pillowcases are great, too. If my granddaughters get to visit next summer, I now have an inspiration!
Could you please let me know the name of the quilt pattern. It would be a great pattern for Project Linus quilts.
